Distracted NYC was created by four bmx riders in 2004. The original team name was known as BMX NYC and eventually became known as Distracted NYC. It was originally a bmx riders-only team, but in late 2005, Distracted NYC opened its arms to skateboarders and inliners. We are now a bmx/inline/skateboard company and team. Many riders and skaters do not agree with the fact that our team consists of all 3 extreme sports, but we honestly don’t give a damn. The team and company as definitely grown, and is still growing to this day, from at least 1 video per year, to team expansion, and finally to tee-shirt and sticker sales. Distracted NYC has become a family, rather than a company or a team. We are always looking for more riders/skaters to add to the team and continue to expand our company and our name. Don’t hate, appreciate.
