The Best Episode?

I think this was probably one of the best episodes of the infamous Barreto’s Basement show. Will Barreto’s Basement make its return ever again? I have no idea. Alot of work would have to be done.

Distracted Midwest Trip (Cincinnati - Day One and Two) from Joseph Mikos on Vimeo.
This is the first two days of the recent Midwest Road Trip. We rode and reeked havok in Cincinnati. You can expect the rest of the trip within the next week or so. Cincinnati was where the most skating/riding took place though.

Joe Mikos: B-ball Champ from Joseph Mikos on Vimeo.
I took Barreto on in a 1-on-1 b-ball battle on the first day of the Midwest Road Trip. Needless to say, I destroyed him in a best of 3 series on the rainy, wet pavement of Nicholas Danchuk’s driveway court. This could possibly be one of the few events that led to Barreto’s recent resignation.

The Distracted Midwest Tour was pretty damn swell. Chris, Nick, myself, and new team skater, Travis went on a 9 day trip through the Midwest. We hit Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Louisville, and Cleveland. Every city had alot to offer. Thanks to a young lady named Morgan, we were able to find Rob Dyrdek’s or DC’s skate park in Cincinnati for one of the first stops of the tour. I lost some respect for Mr. Dyrdek when I learned that bikes were not allowed at the park. Other than that, the skaters shredded the park and much footage was collected. The following day we rode downtown Cincinnati, or the closest thing to the ghetto. Cincinnati was a cool city to hang out and ride in. We then made our way to Louisville where our hotel was only 10 minutes from one of the sickest skate parks in the country. We spent most of the 2 days we were there at the skate park and managed to film only one clip there. Alot of stuff went down at the park, but no one really wanted to pick up the camera to film it. Sunburn, hillbilly inliners and their weird rundown local spots, the longest hospital visit ever for just a few stitches to the chin, and a weird cult at our hotel pretty much sums up our stay in Louisville. And finally Cleveland was the last stop of the tour. By this point Barreto had had it with all of us and basically didn’t speak to any of us the entire first day there. We arrived at the hotel, rested, and drank in the hot tub at the hotel all night. On the final day, me, Travis, and Nick went out to Cleveland while Barreto stayed in the hotel the entire day. We rode a crappy skate park right next the the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, got into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame for free, and then went to an Indians game. It was a great trip and a great experience with a bunch of cool dudes.
Road Trip video coming soon!

Chris Barreto has left the Distracted family. After a series of incidents on the recent Midwest road trip, Barreto decided to quit the team after the final recap session in Macedonia, OH (last stop on the trip). Chris went off on the camera during his recap cursing up a storm and hating on the riders on the tour and officially resigned immediately after. We hope Chris will rejoin us soon. We wish him all the best.

The Pockets Song

This is a music video made by Joe Mikos and written and performed by Chris Barreto. Barreto wrote the song and composed the entire song through Fruity Loops, i think that’s how its spelt.

Anyway, it apparently is a song about his pants pockets. Enjoy!
